Full Description
The Rolex GMT-Master reference 16700 represents the final evolution of the classic GMT-Master line before the GMT-Master II became Rolex's definitive dual-time sports model. Produced from 1988 to 1999, it combines the charm and proportions of vintage Rolex sports watches with modern reliability and everyday practicality. This watch is powered by Rolex's automatic Caliber 3175 movement, featuring traditional GMT functionality with a 24-hour hand that is not independently adjustable from the main hour hand, and a quickset date function. The 40mm stainless steel case is water-resistant to 100 meters and was the first GMT-Master to be fitted with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. It was available with the iconic 'Pepsi' (blue and red) or black bidirectional rotating aluminum bezel insert, and with either an Oyster or Jubilee bracelet, both in stainless steel.
